26.1.4.1.1. That Rabbit (那兔)

Little pinks are often symbolized by a rabbit.

The origin of this appears to be the 2011 webcomic Year Hare Affair (那年那兔那些事, literally "That year, That rabbit, Those events), where different animals represent different countries, and the rabbit represented China.

The little pink rabbit is generally called simply "那兔" (That Rabbit) derived from the Chinese title.

Figure 264. As of 2020, a particularly popular representation is this cute one wearing a People’s Liberation Army (PLA, 中国人民解放军, 解放军, People’s Oppression Army, 镇压军)-hat and with a red star (红星) on the chest, but in the original cartoon That Rabbit appeared to be more aggressive. Ciro Santilli’s wife (三西猴的老婆) told him that That Rabbit (那兔) reminded her of Mashimaro (流氓兔), a cute Korean cartoon she used to watch when she was small. Source.
