For better or worse, China and other countries happen to be located in the same planet.
If China’s economy is bad, the economy gets worse in other countries.
If China’s environment is bad, the environment gets worse in other countries.
If China starts a war, other countries will have to fight it.
If China fails to control a viral outbreak, other countries might get infected.

In the end, this is what all politics comes down to: power.
